-These memories are playing like a film without sound-

...i have no idea why...but i just feel like blogging non-stop...there's nth else for me to do...i 'm in no mood to do any tutorials...i dun even think i need to do it now.......i need to talk to someone....there no one i can talk to in my house...nobody will understand how i feel...they sae 9 is a gd score...but they will nv understand y i wanted so badly to get a 7...nobody in my sch knows how i feel...i am feeling somewad disappointed...
...i've work very hard...but things still turn out this way...i really wanted to stay very much...i suddenly realise i dun wanna go any where else...not even nj...the only place i wanna go to is hc...~~...even if i die...i want to die a hwachongian and not some other jc-ian....~~

...i'm very lost now...fate has to play such a cruel trick on me...it's as if it given me something i wanted very badly....and after i've grew so attached to it...cruelly take it away from me...

[就算失望不能绝望]

...how did everyone do...i'm sure many did well...congrats to those hu did well...sad to sae tt tt isn't my case...i failed to get the required 7 pts or at most 8...i got 9...i was screwed by HCl and combine hum...i got one grade lower then wad i expected for both of them...i dunno wad to sae...The greatest surprise is maybe my EL grade...A2 was kinda shocking coz i'm alwaes on the verge of failing EL in sch...i think i did for prelim but they moderated...i have nth to appeal with...just have to try...but if i do have to go...i will definitely miss S34...

...i'm not sure where i'll be going if i cannot make it here...maybe i'll go to nj...at least i can still see hc everydae...maybe can also come visit you all after sch...

....i think i better sae this in advance...thankz for making my first 3 months so enjoyable...i'm really really happy during my first 3 mths in hc...though i might not be able to join S34 down the rest of the JC journey...Disappointed...But there's nth i can do...it's my fault for not doing better...it's my fault for screwing comb hum....aniwae...tt's all i have to sae....

Aftermath

An interesting observation - the word aftermath, broken down, simply becomes after math. An observation some of my math-challenged friends would probably find incredibly apt.

Nonetheless, the aftermath. Today, we would all have known how we fared for the O's - complete with surprises, relief, joy, etc. I must admit that mine come under the surprises category - who the hell gets straight A1s for Chem and screws Physics regularly, then goes to O's without mugging and gets 2 for Chem, 1 for Physics??? - and relief. After days, weeks of wondering and worrying, i'm glad i will be staying without using SYF as an appeal. I'm glad i'll be able to stay on, as a part of 34. Because as i was telling my friends today, i can't imagine myself anywhere else that isn't HC,that isn't 34. I couldn't imagine having to leave everything and everyone that i've known here, to ignore that little building i've constructed for myself that passes off as a world, and to leave it all behind.

Thank you all for being a part of 34, for making me realise that in spite of the different culture and everything, i don't want to leave, because i can't imagine myself belonging anywhere else.

Judgement Day...

...it's 12.14 now....this means tt it's judgement day...we'll be getting something i believe many do not wanna get...i'm not gonna tok abt X-country as many have blogged abt it...

...basically i'll be toking abt judgement day so if u dun wanna hear anything whiny then u might wanna stop here...

...seriously i'm running out of ideas to blog...maybe becoz my mind is now filled with nth but judgement day...i'm worried...i'm worried becoz i enjoy every moment together with S34...i'm afraid i have to leave...I really have no confident of staying...I'm afraid of going to school tml...last yr...my school had this board tt bears the names of pple who have gotten 6 or 7 distinctions and above...in order to stay in hwachong...we need to get at least 6 distinctions...with 1 in humanities and 1 in L1...which means...if i dun see my name on the board...i most likely am not able to stay in hc...even if i do see my name...i wud still have to pray that wad i got is A1 not A2....as 6A2 will be equals to 12 and i will still not be able to stay...

...i really dunno where i wanna go if i cannot stay..i might consider nj...else poly...but where i wanna be most is still hc....

...sometimes i wonder whether the first 3 mths system is gd or bad...it's gd in the sense tt you can experience the life of a certain JC to see whether you like it...sometimes you may not get wad you wanted and you can still change...it also allows you to experience subjects to see whether you like it...however...it's bad when you have grown attached to everything, everyone there...but have not choice but to leave...the pain experience will be more than not being able to make it there for first 3 mths and still can't make it after tt....

...I'm not really good at writing using flowery and bombastic words....i dunno how to describe my feelings now other than using the word "worried"...My vocab and creativity is limited...but wad i can sae is tt i enjoyed every single time with S34...It's great...In fact...i think it's the best i've ever had...and if i really have to leave...i will really miss everyone i've known in hc...my nickname will alwaes bear [0534-1314]....05S34 ROX!!!.................

D Day and H Hour

WJ forced me violently to post sthg on this blog...claims that i owned the class a msg...a short one will do...since i m desperately in need of time....so here goes...

Well...i m not a hero for the class....as wj has painted me out to be....when i vomited i m nearly at the finishing point....just a few hundred metres away....so there makes no sense for me to report sick to the SJAB ppl....and jeopardise our class trainings...so i cont'd running....to the finishing line...so that i wont lose my position tt easily....anyway....part of the run was also to seek out for personal satifaction....not entirely the 34 spirit.....

In case you feel weak during the run....despair not...yes the distance is not very long....but the climatic conditions make the run torturous....with the haze and the humid weather...and my teacher informed me there are 5 ambulance cases....quite serious...so yahz....if you feel weak...it doesnt mean you are....or you dont haf stamina etc...and yes....all the runners have performed to the best our the abilities....runners....i m so proud of you....

So it's finalized. On tommorow 2pm the long anticipated and awaited O Level results will be released. I m not sure when you will be reading this post, before the release when browse this page while you cant sleep....or after the release of the results....or will you be reading it at all....but no matter what will be happening...or what has already happened to your results...i hoped that you have enjoyed the first few months of your period in three-four....yeahz....i noe all of what i have said and what i m going to sounds a bit cliche and overused....but it's how i m feeling now....seriously...anywayz....my ideas are strewn and mixed up so i hoped u dont mind....maybe it is so unorganised tt u dont noe what i m trying to say...

No matter my results or where i m eventually posted to i have already identified myself as a 34-er....and will continue doing so....I hope you do also....34 made me realised tt there is more to a class than being fun....being hippy and stuff....for it has vaguely bring out the meaning of true class spirit itself...sometimes i can feel it....perhaps it could be stronger....but....yes....

From the start our class has been unique....a fine combination of locals and PRCs....boys and gals....and i believe genuinely tt it was fate tt enabled us to cross path....the 26 of us...with different nationality....different identity....different goals and aims.....different characteistic etc. But we mixed....we interacted with each other...and soon....we felt attached here....at least for most of us....

In a class....each individual stands out....it's his or her presence tt makes everyone feel comfortable....each person behaves differently....but if all the different traits of different people can combine together....to share a common class identity....tt's what i considered class spirit...In a sense 34 has achieved tt....we were perhaps the most interesting class in S3....but we worked hard together....esp the cross country and dramafeste....for those who went....

The class outings are fun....the nonsense in our class also....esp the scandal-crazed ppl of our class....including our dear senior Mong Seng....and PRC Yoz....the way our class communicate with each other....the way we behave in lectures and tutorials....etc....yes all this pleasant memories i will rmbr...no one can take it away from me...

And yes....i m sure i will never feel the same way as i feel in three-four in any other classes in S'pore....if unfortunately i m posted to them...It's nice to be able to study here....nidda prepare my econs ppt now....damnit....it's 12 midnight nowz....dont tink i can sleep till 1am due to the preparation....yahz....shall end here....hopez you feel the same way about three-four the way i do....or even....more attached....seriously....you bunch of ppl in three four are great....thorughoutly enjoyed the three four....

Yay, today my computer did an auto recovery and now i can use the microsoft office finally! my com was down for so long, think it is still caught with some virus >_< never mind, i am already very happy that i can use it now =)

okay, i didn't have a good day today..felt very bad.. but today some good frens called me and that lightened up my spirits.. ^_^ today i am so unwell, is this a bad omen? i can't even be on my feet..pon Chinese Orchestra today..

Tomorrow is the release of O level results, hope that everybody in 05s34 can do well and stay on in hwa chong S34! Good luck for everybody (again)

What Is A College?

College is basically a bunch of rooms where you sit for roughly two thousand hours and try to memorize things. The two thousand hours are spread out over four years; you spend the rest of the time sleeping and trying to get dates.

Basically, you learn two kinds of things in college:

* Things you will need to know in later life (two hours). These include how to make collect telephone calls and get beer and crepe-paper stains out of your pajamas.
* Things you will not need to know in later life (1,998 hours). These are the things you learn in classes whose names end in -ology, -osophy, -istry, -ics, and so on. The idea is, you memorize these things, then write them down in little exam books, then forget them. If you fail to forget them, you become a professor and have to stay in college for the rest of your life.

It's very difficult to forget everything. For example, when I was in college, I had to memorize -- don't ask me why -- the names of three metaphysical poets other than John Donne. I have managed to forget one of them, but I still remember that the other two were named Vaughan and Crashaw. Sometimes, when I'm trying to remember something important like whether my wife told me to get tuna packed in oil or tuna packed in water, Vaughan and Crashaw just pop up in my mind, right there in the supermarket. It's a terrible waste of brain cells.

After you've been in college for a year or so, you're supposed to choose a major, which is the subject you intend to memorize and forget the most things about. Here is a very important piece of advice: Be sure to choose a major that does not involve Known Facts and Right Answers.

This means you must *not* major in mathematics, physics, biology, or chemistry, because these subjects involve actual facts. If, for example, you major in mathematics, you're going to wander into class one day and the professor will say: "Define the cosine integer of the quadrant of a rhomboid binary axis, and extrapolate your result to five significant vertices." If you don't come up with *exactly* the answer the professor has in mind, you fail. The same is true of chemistry: if you write in your exam book that carbon and hydrogen combine to form oak, your professor will flunk you. He wants you to come up with the same answer he and all the other chemists have agreed on. Scientists are extremely snotty about this.

So you should major in subjects like English, philosophy, psychology, and sociology -- subjects in which nobody really understands what anybody else is talking about, and which involve virtually no actual facts. I attended classes in all these subjects, so I'll give you a quick overview of each:

ENGLISH: This involves writing papers about long books you have read little snippets of just before class. Here is a tip on how to get good grades on your English papers: Never say anything about a book that anybody with any common sense would say. For example, suppose you are studying Moby Dick. Anybody with any common sense would say that Moby Dick is a big white whale, since the characters in the book refer to it as a big white whale roughly eleven thousand times. So in *your* paper, *you* say Moby-Dick is actually the Republic of Ireland. Your professor, who is sick to death of reading papers and never liked Moby-Dick anyway, will think you are enormously creative. If you can regularly come up with lunatic interpretations of simple stories, you should major in English.

PHILOSOPHY: Basically, this involves sitting in a room and deciding there is no such thing as reality and then going to lunch. You should major in philosophy if you plan to take a lot of drugs.

PSYCHOLOGY: This involves talking about rats and dreams. Psychologists are *obsessed* with rats and dreams. I once spent an entire semester training a rat to punch little buttons in a certain sequence, then training my roommate to do the same thing.The rat learned much faster. My roommate is now a doctor. If you like rats or dreams, and above all if you dream about rats, you should major in psychology.

SOCIOLOGY: For sheer lack of intelligibility, sociology is far and away the number one subject. I sat through hundreds of hours of sociology courses, and read gobs of sociology writing, and I never once heard or read a coherent statement.This is because sociologists want to be considered scientists, so they spend most of their time
translating simple, obvious observations into scientific-sounding code. If you plan to major in sociology, you'll have to learn to do the same thing. For example, suppose you have observed that children cry when they fall down. You should write:
"Methodological observation of the sociometrical behavi or tendencies of prematurated isolates indicates that a casual relationship exists between groundward tropism and lachrimatory, or 'crying,' behavior forms." If you can keep this up for fifty or sixty pages, you will get a large government grant.

Fire authorities in California found a corpse in a burned-out section of forest while assessing the damage done by a forest fire. The deceased male was dressed in a full wet suit, complete with scuba tanks on his back, flippers, and facemask. A postmortem test revealed that the man died not from burns, but from massive internal injuries. Dental records provided a positive identification. investigators then set about to determine how a fully clothed diver ended up in the middle of a forest fire.
It was revealed that on the day of the fire, the man went diving off the coast, some 20 miles from the forest. The fire fighters, seeking to control the fire as quickly as possible, had called in a fleet of helicopters with very large dip buckets. Water was dipped from the ocean and emptied at the site of the forest fire.
You guessed it. One minute our diver was making like Flipper in the
Pacific, the next, he was doing the breaststroke in a fire dip bucket 300 feet in the air. Some days it just doesn't pay to get out of bed.

A man was working on his motorcycle on the patio, his wife nearby in the kitchen. While racing the engine, the motorcycle accidentally slipped into gear. The man, still holding onto the handlebars, was dragged along as it burst through the glass patio doors. His wife, hearing the crash, ran in the room to find her husband cut and bleeding, the motorcycle, and the shattered patio door. She called for an ambulance and, because the house sat on a fairly large hill, went down the several flights of stairs to meet the paramedics and escort them to her husband. While the attendants were loading her husband, the wife managed to right the motorcycle and push it outside. She also quickly blotted up the spilled gasoline with some paper towels and tossed them into the toilet.

After being treated and released, the man returned home, looked at the
shattered patio door and the damage done to his motorcycle. He went into the bathroom and consoled himself with a cigarette while attending to his business. About to sta nd, he flipped the butt between his legs.
The wife, who was in the kitchen, heard a loud explosion and her husband screaming. Finding him lying on the bathroom floor with his trousers blown away and burns on his buttocks, legs and groin, she once again phoned for an ambulance. The same paramedic crew was
dispatched.
As the paramedics carried the man down the stairs to the ambulance they
asked the wife how he had come to burn himself. She told them. They
started laughing so hard, one slipped, the stretcher and dumping the
husban d out. He fell down the remaining stairs, breaking his arm.

OMG everyone was so great for cross country!!! All the runners, i'm super happy and glad that everyone finished above 300th position, despite being sick (Po), being tired (everyone), being a last minute substitute (Xiao Ni) for an unfortunate person who should not run unless she feels like walking in pain for the next 2 weeks (me). Especial congrats to all the frequent runners, who have so much more motivation, perserverence and knee cartilage than me - the Energizer Bunny squad of Poh Wei, Wei Jie, Da En and Eng Liang, not to mention the person who adores the CHS school song (YO!!!) and the person with a flexible and shy left foot (Qian). Great job to all of you guys!!!! :)

Eh, next time y'all should come and play at the playground with us k. I know i'm not 12 years old.. except maybe at heart, but who gives a shit. Plus i was the worst person and kept getting caught. LOL. Wei Jie was the irritating one who kept banging things and then everyone started blowing air at the catcher. And poor Poh Wei hit his head, awww. Well, so did Wie Jie, but Po's had blood. So there. Heeeeeheeeee.

On Monday.. all of you, please enjoy lessons with Esther Tan and all, i won't be coming. Got to get my SingPass thing fixed, so i'm skipping. Yeah, so much for ponning, and staying at home and sleeping all morning. These nice dreams never materialise. (Just like how i never dream of having bought $300 Paper Denim and Cloth jeans which i'll never be able to afford, and instead get O Level dreams....) Good luck for Monday, though there's actually nothing we can do at this point. But still, good luck.

Carpe diem-SEIZE THE DAY

And so, next week monday is the day of deciding our fate. Actually, i do not wish to spoil our mood now, but let's face this reality...we are getting back our result in two more days.
Carpe diem (SEIZE THE DAY). I'd like to share this word with all of u. I saw this quote in the movie "Dead Poets Society" two years ago (although the movie has really been in existence for many years). It is a very inspirational movie to me. If anyone of you have happened to watch it before, you should have noticed that the teacher (Robin Williams) told his students to Carpe Diem, Seize the day!
Two months of JC life have passed (from the first day, we meet as strangers until now---we have become friends), we still have a long way ahead of us, but i am sure that for the past two months, we all have really enjoyed ourselves. I wish all of us good luck in the future, wherever you are going, whichever way you are heading to, just remember to SEIZE THE DAY! for all that matters is the experience, bear in mind that our two months here have definitely not been wasted. It'll forever be an unforgettable experience here, in HWA CHONG. Carpe diem, always treasure this moment that u have.

it's time

Yoz every1!!!! Sry couldnt post yesterday becoz my internet crashed for dunno wad reason... so tdy, saturday de 26th Feb 2005, will b de first time i posted on the blog .... hahahz... anyways...din know poh wei vomited but yet carried on running...i honor his resilience n courage to carry on...and jie rong too, urged me to carry on running when i was walking due 2 exhaustio.... We RuleZ man!!!!!! u guys rock!!!!
De playground was damm fun too...haha....vaulting abt from 1 part of the playground to another from de roof 2 de slide..haha...catching was fun..evading was even more fun! haha... even though ppl would walk by n say:ji(3) sui(4) liao(3)? zhang(3) bu(2) da(4) ar(1)...we din care.... cos we were having fun...TOGETHER...
Which brings me to de nxt point...judgement day is arriving soon...and aft that....05s34 will nv b de same again....u noe that huangyu will b moving on 2 s7 n someone is gonna fill up dat vacancy...but whether or not de class changes...34 will still b de best!!! why? cos of de ppl who make up de class.... strong spirited ppl, filled with enthusiam, fire n passion which makes our class culture so unique... make this class a place 4 us to share our moments of happiness, share our woes n solve them together....We are a class, n will always b!!!! I will always be proud of being able to be a part of this wonderful class, one who's passion n spirit is the strongest i hav ever seen.
Wish every1 sparkling results for their O levels n come back on wednesday with beeming faces!!! Personally, i believe every1 of u all will do well(very well)..n i mean EVERYONE!!!!!
Being in this class has been de greatest gift of being able 2 enter hc... not de good facilities or teachers...i would also like 2 thank every1 who has assisted in helping me cope through these 1st 3 months, be iot academically, socially, BGRly etc etc....I am forever grateful for your assistance..... thank you all so much...It has been an honor for me to able to serve n be part of this class...

Xcountry-

alright well done guys!

today s34 (or most of s34) turned out for xcountry and im glad to say we did our best. wj did us all proud by finishing 67th. but e highlight wasnt e rugged track or e piles of horse materiel on e ground - it was e playground activity ^^

and so when me and engliang left to scout out where we were supposed to sit, the rest of 34 they hung around at the playground. little did we know they were playing... some form of blind-man catching XP and so after xcountry itself when we gathered at the playground. when weijie informed me of e rules of e game, i keeled over and laughed so hard for 3 minutes i missed my junior calling out to me as they passed. Actually i was v v amused. but i was pwnzed the first time.. cos i totally didnt know e layout of the playground! so i was just inching forward and i didnt catch anyone. but after tt it started to get interesting cos we were all being parttime gymnasts swinging from place to place until we finally got chased off. "Equipment suitable for children aged 2 - 12" they said. and with a heavy heart we left the playground. awwww.

Continue training?

Personally, I think my stamina is bad and I should continue training. :/ But well, Wei Jie, you have your own CCA commitments and so I think you shouldn't overstrain your body everyweek. I do admit that without you running there will be less chance that training continues though. Hmm... I dunno... I guess exercise regularly is good for health. :P

YOZ!

Hello everyone.

After a couple of days without entry, I think I should add some life here. So here goes, YOZ! I believe you all certainly miss my YOZ! title right?:D Right. For this entry, I do not have very 'qim' vocab like that of TIM, nor do I have any chinese prayers in my mind. A simple reader- friendly enty:D

Today, cross country took place and I think S34 did fantastically well in the run. This can be seen from the colourful faces of the runners and I am truly glad that most tried your best. No doubt, we did not win any prize, but the effort put in has made us respectable. As I retire from my cross country captain post( I mean there's no point to continue being one now that it's over), here's a few words from that 'captain part' of my brain.

I think the guys did pretty well. We hadn't any ppl who rank 300+. *clap clap*. We have Poh Wei who ranks 111 and Da En who ranks 222. *cheers* For the rest of the rankings, please ask Lay Ning. The guys are really spirited in the sense that they come down to run seriously every tuesday and every other day if possible(except for one of the member with heart problems, we don't blame you). You have Eng Liang who actively pushes the team to run, Poh Wei who pushes the team to run more rounds and Da En who runs as much as possible, even on the second day of Chinese New Year! I salute you people! As such, my job as a captain is a very easy and smooth sailing one! During the run, even though Poh Wei vomited, he never gives up and continue running. Such is the spirit of S34!

The girls did even better. We have a 5 PRC + 1 team and it's heart warming to see them running their hearts out. Special thanks to rachel and qiqian for turning up to train with the guys, you all ROX! It's very unfortunate that rachel cannot run(due to injuries) despite her burning desire. However, the substitute, xiao ni, did us proud too! This shows that S34 never gives us inspite of the presence of set backs:D

So collectively, I think everyone has a memorable cross country day. THink of the times at the play ground:D Ask Jie Rong and Rachel for a more explicit description. Think of the times when we train together, I think we can continue to persevere and do even better next year. Do you all want to continue training for NApfa. It may not be too strenuous, just once a week every tuesday? Please state your response. That's that for cross country.

Next, of course I cannot miss out on my fair share of O levels recollections. I don't know about the results nor do I really care so much. The stamina in me to do so has totally depleted long ago. There seems to be no point in worrying too much, I believe you all may have realise that. All I have to say is, my goal of seeking an enjoyable first three months in HC has been relatively fulfilled, thanks to S34. You all have shown me warmth, valuable friendship, respect, enthusiasm ( sports).........blah blah.... something that I may not find anywhere else in Singapore. I will always remember the times we go through drama feste, play badminton, paint banner etc. I think my choice to enter HC is correct and I will not regret it. Thanks S34.

Yes after the release of results, we may part, but the bonding times we share together will always remain intact as one. It's can't be edited. Let fate take over from here. If let's say, I have offended any of you in anyway in this period, I am sorry. I am not perfect and I never meant to hurt anyone. Please forgive. ( this is the only sad part)

Hmm

Wow, all this activity gladdens me. You don't know how happy it makes me to come online and read the stuff that you guys post. XD Yay. However it is my personal preference that I see all this activity over at the Yahoo group instead because I find it easier to navigate through the posts there, rather than viewing all of them at one shot. Those of you who are in the know will realise that I am on a 56K dialup which is like, freaking slow, so the blog is taking longer and longer to load each day. Not that it's a bad thing, but still.

I realised that I slept a lot this weekend. Well, at least it felt like it. And that I'm going through an I-Have-No-Money stage, which is very new to me, considering that in secondary school I never (NEVER!) go out. Ho hum. I guess I'll have to scrimp and save next week (nooooo...), but something tells me I'll be spending a lot on transport *coughTAXIcough*. Oh well.

Next week is Happy Week (in addition to Happy Day). Why? Because I (along with other Chem-taking Dramafeste people which are namely Rachel, You Jin, Da En, Eng Liang and I) have to make up TWO science practicals as well as take TWO science practical tests. So that totals up to FOUR science practicals altogether if my F Maths serves me right. >< Not to mention Torture Day which falls on Friday, marking the day of X-Country under the hot sun. They're going to drive us like work horses arond the turf club, I swear. Yay. Everyone begin bringing in cartons of Chicken Essence please, lest we all start having mental breakdowns midweek. That would not be good.

On the topic of our class blog, well, I don't see it as a competition either. It's more of a place for me to complain (haha, I'm sure you guys are rather sick of it) and rant and just soak up the Three Four spirit. Yay! I really do hope to see people continue posting long after the judging is over, and long after Term 1, and long after everything is over.

Anyway, shall stop ranting here, see everyone in school on Monday morning...

Thoughts of a wistful vagrant

Hi everyone.

Been a long time since i last penned.

Feel rather inadequate now; inept, to be precise.

Ah well, I long forsook the pen for the calculator - when I made the decision to transfer over from arts after a significant period of contemplation. I guess it still hurts abit when i think about it. Sweet nostalgia. Smarting reminiscence. Wow, it's rather amusing; I've actually started to mourn the loss of literature in my life unknowingly - and publicly too. Not very used to expressingly myself in public, actually. The past years of tumult have moulded me, encased me in an ossified shell. I used to be a flamboyant extrovert. Ask Kenneth. Haha. In retrospect, I would have never envisaged myself as this 4 years back. The winds of change have truly swept - and left. The grit of the arduous years have been blustered by the storm of adolescence, and I hope that as I sojourn the plains of adulthood the winds of torment will abate. Rather morose right now. Hah. Such mockery. I was hoping to find solace in penning out my thoughts but apparently it is not to be.

Hm. having trouble grasping with words now. Perhaps language is petulantly eluding me in reprisal of my boycott of it. Anyway, I do so anticipate the release of the O level results. I have a presentiment that they may disappoint me. But worry not, let's all be sanguine, shall we? After all, life is too ephemeral to waste away in vexation.

Tutorial covered pineapple.

Kenneth, that's a FREAKING long post. You have officially overtaken all of us (yes, that includes Po) at both writing the longest posts and also being the unluckiest. Heh. By the way, you really like gambling huh? Eh, teach me how to play mahjong. My dad won't, he says he's lazy.

Tutorials are evil, and i am in a terribly, terribly sad state thanks to CLAO. I think i'm the person in class who has handed up the least things, and i just realised that i told the teacher i'll hand up tomorrow. And i have 2 papers, 1 cloze and that stupid yan4 yu3 thing. And i still don't feel like doing it, so die liao. Stupid SPA assessment. Stupid redox.

This class blog.. i never really thought of it as a competition myself. I don't post here for the purpose of making it look more active or whatever. Of else, i'd never have personal blogs, right? I write because i like writing, because it lets me sort things out in my head in a semi-coherent way, because it lets me say things i wouldn't know how to phrase otherwise in person. I'm a strange person. The judging doesn't really matter to me, though of course i hope we'll win. Just like dramafeste. :)

After So Long...

...yes...after ~~infinity long time~~ 5 daes...i'm am finally back...iknow all of u miss me so i am back to crap...haha...wah...poh wei...guess someone is all out to break your "longest post" record...haha...omg

...kenneth has powerful memory.......ok...sad to sae i still haven finish all the tutorial tt i expected myself to...ok...too ~~lazy~~ busy....so no choice...
...dramafeste rox....had a hell lot of fun singing, playing chapteh, moving chairs in and out of stage blah blah blah....Artemis is the fastest when it comes to scene changes..."swift scene changes"-quoteing the judge....lol
...i think the class blog will be judge soon...winning is not impt...cliche saying....but nvm...it's really not impt...i dun see the pt in posting in this blog just for the comp...i post becoz we can read the entries many months or years later and recall all the fun time we had together...i think everyone here thinks to same way...
...ok...this is one issue everyone in class has to face sooner or later...can longer be in denial liao...the "DAY" is coming supposingly next week...or shud i sae this week since it's sunday...i dun have to sae much coz there are quite a few post abt this...but i just wanna sae...i'll will stay in S34 if i can...and if i can't...i will still be a S34-er(hmm sounds weird...but u get the pt)...WE rox...all the times we have together...i will never forget...ok...tt's all i've for todae...i shall post more frequently again as from now on....

Funny but True (Part I)

This post is split into 2 parts.

Read from top down.Just warning you people, try not to get close to me. I HAVE VERY VERY SUPER BAD LUCK. Yeah, and the astrology thingy was saying dragons have good luck this yr and bad luck next yr. I CAN'T wait for next year.

Btw, I can make a fuss out of like nothing, though none of them are exaggerated.

Ok this is what happened in the past wk:

(Sat exactly 1 wk ago - this is just a premonition of what's to come)

So I was playing mahjong in my friend's house. Was getting at least 5 flowers every game. Now you might think that's good luck, but guess what, for the entire 4 rounds, 16 games, I DIDN'T get a single chi. And I didn't win a single time. I was getting 6 out of 13 wonders tiles every game. Or 1,4,8 etc, that's worse then the andy lau's du xia show.

Ok, next I spilt orange on my friends carpet. I wasn't even near the carpet or the drink, but my tennis racket was, and I knocked it down when I turned around. Cost him alot I THINK. So bad luck to him, must be me.

So thinking that my luck should be good, I went around orchard trying to buy stuff for my angel and mortal, I thought of what to buy liao. BAD MOVE. They were sold out in the first 2 outlets. The 3rd was closed and it was sold out in the 4th outlet too. Then some kind gal behind the counter gave me this card to call other outlets. Turned out the 5th had them sold out too. And the next nearest was either in Jurong, near Tuas or somewhere in Tampines. If you readers recall, I was in Orchard. Yeah, they've 5 outlets near orchard. Not stating the shop though.Ok, this is JUST the beginning.

Next - Sunday: OK, today was only bad luck for me, thankfully I didn't 'hai' anyone. Today's the day we had JTS by the way. I was looking forward to JTS you know, cos life's boring or something along those lines. We went NYDC and luckily it wasn't full, I did say only bad luck to me. I was seated in a wonderful position, in the middle of 2 tables.

So you people might think I'm like lucky to be surrounded by 8 girls right, but you know I talked more to the waiters/waitress then to them. Was quite hard to start a convo, I veri shy u know. Stoned there for 2 hours.

Next we went KTV, at least it wasn't that boring. But no, out of 43, yes 43 songs, I've only heard of 1 of them, and that 43rd song was the one I added in the waitlist. Not the fault of the ppl in the room, just that I don't listen to cpop. That song I picked tho, youjin was commenting that his father sings it. Lol I feel old. Can call me old man ken. Luckily, Irvinna was also 'suffering' in the other room, tho I heard some English pop was sung too. Still a wonderful experience, cos it's my first time to ktv/kbox. At least I get to hear the songs.

Ok, I had only minor bad luck for mon and tues, I COULD write them as well, but I guess you ppl will be bored, so I'll skip to the more interesting stuff.

Wednesday:As you know, there was supposed to be a firedrill on wed. Yeah, can skip some part of lessons. Now, some 05S34 ppl might ask, WHAT FIREDRILL? Exactly, we were already released.

Ok next, this happened after we were released. Ppl tio saboed = Youjin, Engliang, Qiqian, Yiqun and Daen, along with me of course. Mr Pang went to our class bench and told the ppl surrounding me + me to see him at 2.15pm. I'm not stating the reason, but as you know, there'll never be anything gd coming out of this.

We met him and he says s3 classes usually veri guai, do illegal stuff again and the whole class die. Ppl tio saboed = extended to whole class. My fault I know. But I promise to be a guai kia and won't do anything funny in future ok.

Then Youjin, Qiqian, Yiqun, Daen and me went coro, between our AMC or CCA. Happy go happy come back. Then there was the stupid firedrill. Nuff said.

Next, AMC. 100 points to get invitation, 1 qns correct = 6 marks, 1 qns undone = 2.5, 1 qns wrong = 0. So 11 qns correct + 14 undone = 101. I've around 14 I know will be correct, 4-5 more 50/50. So I shaded them in too:) More correct = more marks mah, looks nicer then 101. I think I got more than 5 wrong including carelessness. I rock.

I've wide ranging powers you know, I got the whole class on wednesday. More signs of my power on thursday.

Part II

Thursday : I'll skip to the nicer parts, got quite alot of happenings on thurs. There's 2.4km trial run at 4.00pm, so sad.Time check: 3.20pm the entire class came out of FM lect and saw it raining HEAVILY. So they were damn damn happy, I was too. Time check: 4.00pm: Rain stopped. Ppl affected = all ppl having PE. Tho looking at the bright side, the weather was quite nice for 2.4 trials.

Next, after the 2.4km run. I was like dying of dehydration, so I searched for a water cooler. You know the place to the right of 05S34 assembly area on mondays? Yeah, there's a water cooler. I walked all the way there, only to find out there's no water cos they were watering the field. Why not water me first. Tho looking at the bright side, the javalin thrower didn't impale me, there's a possibility that the javalin fly backwards, you know.

Feeling quite dead and sweaty, I went home to shower and change. I reached HC when I thought I should get some snacks for Drama fest. So I walked all the way to Coro, in that weird clothes that Rachel mentioned in one of the posts below. Then upon reaching, Huangyu said that he forgot to bring his tix for drama fest (my influence), so I walked back to HCI. Exercise is good you know, but not in that clothes.

So, I bought the tix, and I was waiting for Huangyu, but my phone's keypad was spoilt for not reason. So I was hitting it, took the batt out, and it finally worked, as in I can press something and it actually responded. Next: PIN BLOCKED, ENTER PUK.

On to Drama fest. Wonder why it started at 7.30pm instead of 7.00pm? Technical difficulties. Wonder why there were technical difficulties? Me. Btw, I wish to comment a bit on drama fest, a break from all the sadness surrounding me. The backstage of Artemis rocks sia, super uber fast. I was like woah when blackout, 2 secs, 20 chairs gone and 3 were arranged nicely on stage. Pity no award for tt. Ok, back to the main topic. I went for break between Ares and Apollo's show, and guess wad. My button dropped. Not any button, but the one above the zip and usually the only one on any pants. So my pants was like dropping before I changed to my uniform. I bet if anyone steps on my pants (it's long), it'll drop. Seriously.

On to Friday: Huangyu was 'resting' beside me during maths lecture. Koh scolded him. Huangyu was 'resting' again beside me during phy lecture, some teacher walked and scolded him too. Not as bad as how Timothy was sitting beside me during Fmaths lecture the first day he came to our class and got his mp3 confiscated tho. My group for PW was getting picked on too. Maybe tts cos we weren't listening, but I think it's cos of me.

I brought my tennis racket to sch today, since there's recreation tennis at 3pm and I haven't played for quite some time. Physics till 3.20, but I planned to go a lil late.
Timecheck: 3.20pm I came out of LT3 and it was raining quite heavily.
Timecheck: 4.20pm I reached home. It stopped raining.

I shan't comment on my bridge training, so lets move on to the finale, sat 19th feb.

Saturday: I waited 20 mins for my bus, the journey took 15 mins. A sign of things to come. I reached habour front and I see no one. So I phoned some people, and found out Jierong got a fever. Maybe it's cos of dramafest, but I think it's cos of me. Huangyu came at around 11.20, so me, my sec sch friend who's initials = QX and Huangyu went to SAJC funfair. Attendance = 2/10. Nothing much to say bout the funfair, just tts it was hot and there wasn't really much to do there.

Next, since HY had some time before his swimming class, we decided to go watch a movie before I went tennis with QX. It was around 2.45pm. We went to Plaza Singapura, and all the movies were either m18, HY or QX watched before, or it was 4+/5+ pm. Not feeling depressed, we decided to go lanning. There's a x-zone (xbox + com gaming) at PS, so we walked back to the mrt and to x-zone. Only to see this sign: DOA tournament from 1.30pm, this place will be closed to the public, come again at 6pm. Still not discouraged, we decided to go novena, which was a few stops away, as there was a lan shop just outside the mrt. But we went up the wrong exit, no problems, we simply crossed the street to the area the lan shop was located in. Did I say WAS? Yeah I did. Now it's a shoe shop instead of a lan shop.

So, me, HY and QX decided to go tour RJC and show HY some parts of RI. We were planning to go sajc funfair then go RI for tennis from the start anyway. And O lvls were coming out, just checking out RJC.

Wow, RJC was damn big. But we met QX's RJC friend when we just walked in, he was mentioning how RJC looked like a prison. A foreboding. We were touring happily, and we went to their 5 storey library (we didn't go inside of course, just outside). And then we saw the security guard. He talked to us and told us we had to see him first to ask for permission for tour or something like that. So we were like OK, now we know, so we can continue right. We went to the second storey and after that we came back down. We were caught by him again. And he asked us for our identification, this is like the second time someone asked me for that this week. Then he wrote it down in some stupid book and said that we weren't supposed to continue. Basically he wanted to check up on me and chase us out of the school. Even tho my student pass stated RI -_-
He was saying that there were security cameras and ppl were complaining about us touring the school. Yeah, there were actually security cams, prison style. (We saw that on the way back) And he was explaining about how if something gets stolen, it'll be his problem.
I'm sure that's what the security cams are for. After this ordeal, I understood the greatness of HCI, I'll only leave HCI if I can't make it when o's are released.

Nothing worth noting during tennis, apart from the fact that the gate was locked and we had to climb out.
Nothing worth noting about dinner either, apart from the fact that the waitress at thai express told us the food will come 20-25 mins later (it usually takes 10mins), but it came only after around 35 mins. And they forgot about my orange blend. They didn't reimburse me either. Not to say that I was in a rush too.

Hm...maybe bad luck this week but gd luck for the o lvls. Or it may just continue. I'm wondering what will happen to me next yr tho, they said I'll have bad luck next yr and gd luck this yr as stated in the first few lines (for the benefit of those ppl who forgot).

The End Has Come.

Fine, Po, i CMI at doing long long posts okay.

On the subject of Happy Day.. it will have to come, like it or not, nightmares or not. Who will not be staying here in S34, whether by choice or otherwise, is too late to be worrying about now. All we have left are a precious few days where we are not yet marked by the O's. It has been my fortune to have spent these two months with you all, from Sentosa to ECP outings, to flour, bad singing (especially of the TCH school song), Qian's tutorial-eating-and-left-foot jokes, x1, smiley faces on arms, freezing LTs, bad English from our teachers, Po Po and Ah Gong's lovely lessons, our debates, badminton sessions (and especially watching Qian, Da En and Po play), running (and organ exchange) ..

These are the things that will never change in my memory of the first three months (or rather, two).

34 Forever.

If i can stay, i will. There's nowhere else to go, and nowhere else i want to be.

Three-Four

Yepz...everybody...Dramafeste is finally over...and since a substantial number of 34-ers participated in the event, it could be considered a 34 triumph...

The end of Dramafeste perhaps marked the end of one of the last activities in our schedule... the remaining activities are perhaps the Cross Country and finally, the JTS.... After this certain parts of our class will leave us for good...while others will join in...

Of course, Dramafeste was memorable to those who participated...esp to our actors and actresses but our classmates too...In the end Artermis production failed to be awarded...but the most important thing is that we have won the crowd...and yes, i have to reiterate this...the process is more important than the result...i m sure that everyone had fun during Dramafeste... we got to know many others...and the LT1 activites are indeed exciting. I m sure everyone single one of us have put in their best in this performance...and i would like to thank the rest of 34 for coming down to support us during Thurs...

Despite Kenneth's smart attire there are also other interesting happenings in Dramafeste...including Rach's make-up (MUHAHAHAHAHAHA), which have been captured in my phone...There is also this interesting image of 5 boys struggling with each other...I have checked the uploaded dramafeste photos...apparantly the constrast is disasterous...so wj can u adjust and send me? Yepz...thanks. I m sure everyone can also remember the Hokkien version of scene 3...it has been performed in our class.

Cross Country will take place next Friday...and i tink 34 will be able to put up a more than decent performance...since we all have been training hard. Of course...we nidda to train harder next week...but not too hard as to overstrain and tire ourselves...since it will be there next friday...i propose we train on Monday and Tuesday to leave enough time for resting. We have two days of training left...so we betta train hard so that we wont be wanting to acquire other people's organ during the run. Runners, remember to drink lots of water and consume more starch food. And remember...even if we have trained, tt doesnt mean tt the people from other classes havent...so be prepared to face tough opposition. Hahaz...for runners who didnt train...gd luck...juz run at a steady pace and keep to it, perserve on and dont walk during the run at all cost...because it will slow you down and make you feel more tired...

By the way, after browsing through many other class blogs i realised that our blog is relatively active...congrats 34....we thrashed other classes both in QUALITY AND QUANTITY....so pple, carry on posting...and for those we have not posted before...start posting, even if you're mugging, dat's not an excuse...I m glad Eng Liang started posting...try to beat my length, eng liang...the rest...WHERE ARE YOU???

'O' Level results will be released somewhere around next week...since yesterday was Budget Day. Most likely the release will take place even before the last of our activities, namely the Cross Country and JTS... Yes....it is going to be the greatest of challenges we faced together as a class...departure will be more than sad. Even for those who are confident i m sure there will be tense moments too...since we are all concerned about everyone's result...not only ourselves. Fate has allowed us to cross paths...but everything that has a beginning has an end...and departure is inevitable...so do be mentally prepared.

Yes, and do not be overly depressed if somehow you did not perform well...i m sure everyone has put in their best for the 'O' Levels...and it is definitely not your fault...Dont take things too hard...it's just a result after all. In life, there is more than results that matter, and your results doesnt reflect your abilities at all.

Hello everyone

I think drama feste was a great success under MY defintion. Both the process and the product is terrific. Given the actors and actress undying commitment and classmates blazing class spirit, there has been tremendous improvement in the production. Even MONG SENG can testify to that! So here I am to give everyone a good pat on the back and say "well done". I certainly look forward to the next event as a class together! 05 S34 ROX!

Next up, we have cross country. From ENG LIANG's enthusiastic post, I am sure everyone is very motivated to run and improve yourselves. I can assure you that everyone in our class is horizontally challenged, whether it's in the positive or negative direction. Therefore, I appeal to everyone out there to bring your PE attire everyday and join us on the route to personal perfection:D

OMG. Eng Liang has posted more than me. AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! (What's this world coming to? Somebody save us!!) Oh shit. I can't remember Shi Yang's line. Sorry lah, STM aka short term memory.

Firstly, Dramafeste. Although Artemis didn't win anything.. i think what Ann said was right, as long as we had fun, it was worthwhile. Thanks very, very much to my beloved classmates who near the final few rehearsals, stopped talking about the triple cosine formula in Hokkien, who weren't lagged at all and who made enough noise! Remember, TEACHING IS MY PASSION. Hahahaha. Thanks to all the S34 people who came to support us on Thursday, and if you want to see Kenneth in interesting attire, please ask Po for pictorial evidence. At least, i think Po has the pics in his phone, either that, or it was You Jin. STM lah. Dramafeste has made me realise that I LOVE MICS!!!!!!!!! Hahahaha. Monday and Wednesday, you'll have to wait till 7.30 and 5.30 respectively if you want to run with me. MAD rehearsals, sorry about my horrible schedule. Yah. And i still think i'm going to need someone else's organs, i haven't run for donkey weeks. I'm a huge walking pineapple tart now.

Drama Fest

Yesterday was the final performance of Drama Fest. Everyone tried their best. Though Artermis never win anything, I guess everyone do enjoy themsleves, swift scene changes

, and a lot of singing and playing at the LT1. Those were sweet memories and a unique experience indeed. :) Wei Jie can you upload all the pictures taken yesterday? They will remind me of all the happy things yesterday, so that I will not feel too sad. :P

Btw, I think all the runners should train perferably everyday next week. I mean, the running is going to be on next Friday, it is a competition after all, yes we run mainly for fun but we still represent 05s34, you dun want to ruin the class image do you? Lets make the running a unforgetable experience.

Tomorrow is the first day of performance!! Good luck to all performing, especially to the lead actors Jierong and Da En! Please don't get stage fright when you see so many faces staring at you, but I'm sure the two of you will rock just fine! And to the fellow "classmates", hopefully we are not too lag tomorrow and remember to make NOISE so that Rachel can bang her table. Heehee.

Wa, I ran some more today. I feel tired! Actually when I come to think of it, I didn't run much. Boohoo. But I really couldn't run any more. Raaarrh. ><

Today was such a crap day! But tomorrow sucks because of CLAO. Boohoo. =( "What is this world coming to? Someone save us!" - quoted from Dramafeste! You can tell that I obviously didn't do my CLAO homework, and still have no intention to do it. Bwahaha. I think I'm going to sleep now. Wow, it's only 11pm. That's early.

Running

I think it is Feb 25, got it from you cheng msn's nick. Anyway today I walked about 50% of the distance that I was supposed to run. Guess I am mentally and physically weak and need some real training. :/ If it is really at 25 Feb, I think next Thurs we shouldn't exercise too much. :)

Hmm... Just notice that publishing the blog took some time. (The bigger the blog, the longer it will take). So should I feel happy or annoyed? :P

HUAN YING GUANG LING

Hello everyone,

It's me again! I see so many so many so many entries in this blog! That's very encouraging! However, I do not see a SINGLE fellow foriegn comrades writing any entry & our poor yahoo group has seriously been STARVED:P Yes, please address the problems necessarily.

Basically I am writing an entry here to provide MORAL support to all the actors and actresses out there especially our three main performers. No doubt many of us are in some sort of negative situations with specific mentioning of CCA or homework, we are all through this supposedly "enjoyable" time together. I think we can appreciate as a class the sessions when we carry the chairs back and forth for uncountable times, when we sit down on stage and blabber trigo theorms or when we look at rachel bang the table, jie rong hold grace hands or even daen play sissors paper stone. Ain't all this fun? So let's treasure this unique experience as I doubt there will be a second one.

To those going on stage, don't be afraid to daringly express yourself or make a fool of yourself. THat's what acting is all about and DA EN can certainly show you how to do so. We'll acquire all the energy from everywhere and give our best for the last two main days. That means getting our class to come down and watch us end with a GREAT BIG BANG!!! ALl the best.

RIGHT, next is cross country. For this particular event, I think the product is not so crucial, the process is more important. As long as we have put in effort and try our best, I think we can be very proud with ourselves. So running will probably resume next week and we try to run EVERYDAY. Please turn up and try to improve yourself, BUT NEVER OVER EXERT AND INJURE YOURSELF. I can assure you that running more frequently will reduce your desires to acquire other people's organs:D

LAstly, this SAT's morning activities have been cancelled to give drama feste people a good morning sleep. Please BUG HUANG YU for your plans to SAJC as I, very unfortunately cannot make it. PLEASE also bug jierong for our plans regarding JTS. THis is because we are very very kind and thoughtful souls who never forget to thank our beloved seniors for guiding uson the right path of possessing the HWA CHONG spirit. I am sure we are quite grateful to SOME of them and would really like to give them a nice treat.

K that's all from me. Once again, GOOD LUCK PEOPLE for the rest of this week while we face a new week of new challenges thereafter. 34 4eva!

Eh, Eng Liang! Can you say a bit more since you actually signed in, created a post and all that? A 2 number, 2 letter and 1 word entry hardly counts as a post. But then i' m the person who has a bad tendency to just ramble on and on about absolutely anything, for a veeeeery long time.

Btw Qian, i think Eng Liang's heart/lung/muscles not bad, you want? I can act as his excellent/fantastic/superb broker.. with an equally high fee to match. Mwahahaha. Rach is going crap mode. Rach thinks she's seriously crazy to be speaking in the third person. but Rach is weird.

A rare posting

Okay fine i'm finally posting. There really isn't much to say now, actually, other than the fact that Dramafeste rehearsals go on every night. The late nights aren't a problem, but thinking about making up practs, lessons, and of course, my horrible state of SYF. Seriously, i'm screwed. I think they'd have kicked me out if they could... but i think they submitted names already. Mwahahaha. And i'm skipping the actual AMC tomorrow. Double mwahahahaha. I didn't really care, so it isn't that important, i don't have as many brains as dear Yiqun.

But about Dramafeste, though i'm like, completely not important and i think even the chair-men/boys do more than me, PLEASE COME SUPPORT K. See, 34 rocks cos we have so many people involved. (Jierong, Da En, Po, Wj, Qian, YO Jin, Eng Liang and me.) And Thursday's tickets are cheaper. Yah. Maybe Po Po will watch. Hahahahaha. Hopefully i'm a better/fiercer teacher than her... *evilness*

Our class blog

Well...my topic of discussion today is about the reasons why our blog has so few participants...and i have come up with a list of reasons....yehz...and solutions

1) Everyone is mugging TOO MUCH. This cannot carry on because we should be enjoying ourselves before the release of 'O' Levels. And posting blogs is definitely one way of relieving stress. So i have a suggestion...make it compulsory for everyone to post at least once....You see, this thing works like the cigeratte....once you start posting u will immediately discover the thrill of posting and will be addicted to it.....(ask you jin for further explaination). I admire ppl like him because he is so enthu about posting.....

2) Our class is IT-illiterate. This may be the case....because our class seems so enthusiatic about anything except for posting....so sad. Well...a good proportion of our class are PRCs who may have limited access to the Internet, as so i m misleaded to perceive. The only way to solve this problem for them is to stay back in school to post. I m sure our school has sufficient computer facilites for us to use.....well...maybe not for this purpose but it's for the class spirit....

3) Posting is too troublesome???? If we look at how filled our crap book is, we can immediately tell that our class has loads of ideas....well...for the crap book, everyone was like fighting to write something on it....so why cant this happen for the bloggie????? That's why there a need to make ppl participate actively in this things....write your ideas here instead of in the crap book in the future....welll u can write in both sides as long as you write here....

4) The blog is monitored. Well...since the blog is submitted for a competition of course it would be monitored. Since it is being monitored we nid to tone down our contents a bit....hahahahaz... no swearing etc. Yahz....we nidda censor here and there a bit also so that we wont be tracked down the teachers and sent to the Principal's Office to have a cup of tea. Also, there is no secrecy within as in that everything is available to all classes and everyone and it's no longer private...kept within the class. But i have one thing to say....TO HELL WITH THEM!!!!! Juz post whatever you want....whether they may like it or not....it's suppose to be a class blog, not a politically correct blog...so juz express whatever you want to express.

Btw....wj i tink ur topic for discussion is too serious....obviously our welfare and recreation rep has done a good job and will continue to do so in the near future, although i cant say the same for the Treasurer. Hahaz.....

Yeahz...i have nothing to say now...tt's it. Have fun pple.

Sian

Today was a mega-sian day even though it was Valentine's Day. Harhar. The people who went for Dramafeste can vouch for me on that. Today I was walking around like a dead corpse, trying to drag myself around the school and go through the movements of living. Not to mention how fatiguing the rehearsal for the play was, for some reason, even though I did nothing but carry a chair on and off the stage, sit on it and look like a slacker. Yay.

This week is going to be terribly draining. Ho hum. I'm not looking forward to it. See, for choir we have to memorise this terribly difficult song that I can't even sing properly with the score in front of me. Plus there are some really difficult and lame actions to go with it, which I must accomplish doing by this Saturday. And you all know how I really can't coordinate my arms and legs, much less sing at the same time. Furthermore there are Dramafeste rehearsals everyday which will require us to miss lessons and hence have to find time to make up for them. Not to mention the real performances on Thursday and Friday night. To look at things from a different angle, it'll be fun because my friends and I will be going through it together, and it'll be an exciting experience because it'll let me challenge my limits. But still. I will always pick a slack week over anything else. However it's the first three months... live a little more, what else can I say?

As for our Sentosa class outing, all I have to say to Poh Wei is that: eh, you asked for it. Haha. I have no comments about a person who dunks himself into the sea and delibrately throws the ball to the monkey so he can be one. LOL. He amuses me to no end. XD Not to forget our lovely STJ at NYDC... thanks a million to our seniors who seriously rock hard core. XD Yay.

By the way, to anyone wanting to contact me on MSN: I think I'm still experiencing network problems which is such a pain in the ass. >< So I think the best way is to email me. Or better still, SMS me.

Yes, now I shall officially sign off. Hopefully my post will not be the first one the next time I come online again... haha.

Yes, I know, you all really really miss my title. YOZ! I hope those who turn up for sentosa really have a great time. Have a good rest and we'll be back to gobble a hole out of the seniors' pockets on sunday! *evil laugh*

Can everyone walk up to Da En and thank him personally for the tremendous amount of effort and commitment he has put in too for sentosa? As for the pictures right, I will tabulate everything I have at a certain time of the year that's not very far away and pass it around the class, so don't worry! However I have a habit of deleting those super lousy photos and so that kind of explain my collection:p I hope more people will bring camera while my fingers take a slight break........

K anyway, I certainly think that 4 out of 25/26 isn't a very good representation. That's me, you jin, qq and of pozilla. We need more people to post (obviously)!!!!!!! THerefore, to prevent all talk and no actions, I have come up with a MARVELOUS plan:D Hehe. being the usual nice person, I have selected YOZ JIN to be our new 'blog publicity' rep. His new challenge is to get every single PRC to post atleast one entry here, MWHAHA, game enough for it?:P (everyone clap for you jin!)

For those who really have no topic, let me offer you one- ' What can the welfare rep do for you ' (using my chance to reap in some opinions for the WELFARE department!). Dying....

Yeah....i thot tt this bloggie has reached a stage which nids more post....cos apparantly only YOU jin seems to be the enthu person....sad case....

Hence i m obliged to carry on with the bloggie....to begin with, when the five of us...me, you jin, qq, layning and da en returned home on Fri nitez we made a pact to go online at 0015 on Sat....however this promise was only honoured by myself, qq and da en....so where are the rest of the ppl???? Hahahaz...i seriously HOPE dat ur are sleeping instead of mugging your tutorials....

Anyway, our class outing to Sentosa was exhilerating, exciting, interesting, nerve-racking, pulse-racing, adrenaline-rushing....to sum it up all it was cool....esp to the few of us who stayed on to the night....the beach part was simply fun....although the bikers wasnt with us. We played "Monkey?!?!?! *#$@(%!", hahahaz....dat bloody p1 game....when can we ever grow up? Anyway, for unknown reasons...i was made monkey most of the time.....maybe i juz cannot make it for this game....Later on we went to the sea, again i was dunked in the most number of times....apparantly i was bullied by all of ur. Yes we have real fun in the sea trying to drag each other down and making sure everyone was completely drenched in the seawater. Yahz...later that the pro-swimmers swam to the other side of the beach....we chatted and sang aloud while swimming. I dont wanna say this, but our singing is awful...esp the schl song and other "familiar favourites" led by our trio of choir rejects (me, da en and you jin). But our dear expert choir member qq sang marvellously with a melodious voice....hahahaz...(next time on class outing we betta learn more songs so dat we can sing along....)

Well...time flies and b4 we knew it we reached nightfall....where we spent at Orchard Road. Yeahz...we chose arcade over movies....and we have lots of fun....Wj was particularly proz at air hockey. Revenge was definitely sweet afterz i crapped my way to first in the car racing game...beating the violent and agressive driver qq narrowly. And the pros, our dear senior Mong Seng, and wei jie and da en showed us real driving skills when they compete against each other in a thrilling triple-threat match. After the arcade, we went to shop around for Angel-Mortal gifts, but apparantly there wasnt any inspiration and most shops are closed anyway due to Chinese New Year...so we went home empty-handed.

Yahz...tt's all about the description of our class outing, which was in reality more interesting than the way i haf described (eh...i failed my descriptive). Actually everything went well except for the relatively poor attendance (15/26)??? Yahz...hope to see full attendance for the class outing nxt time, STJ is up next later on the afternoon. Everything is FREE...so it will be a waste if u dont go there....do attend it.

Anyway i came up with a reason for our relatively inactive blogs....everyone muz be mugging all the time right? Seriously, taking some time off mugging to post wont kill u....and STOP MUGGING....enjoyz urself b4 the 'O's are released okayz? Tt's all i wanna say, and the class photos are with wj so get it from him.

Chu1 Yi1

Today is Chinese New Year, chu1 yi1! Maybe I'm not the first one, but I'm going to wish everyone a Happy New Year anyway! Haha.

Yesterday was quite fun lah, an experience for all of us to remember. Thanks to everyone who helped out with the stall, especially Lay Ning who provided all the materials for making the tang1 yuan2, as well as Da En for his cookies, kueh bangkit and pineapple tarts! Although we couldn't sell our tang1 yuan2 in the end because of some *cough* technical problems, I think (hope) that we made a profit anywa, no matter how little. ^^

As for the mass dances, I am confident that I cannot dance, and will not attempt to do so any longer. But me, being so sporting and enthusiastic, might eventually break this promise. Haha. Anyway, I have to agree that Apollo dances were very ZAI. Yay.

Chu Xi

Hey, this is your dear Treasurer here, who will like to wish all of you a happy new year eve. As you have realised, i m the first person to post in Chu Xi...Great achievement....

How come only You Jin and Qiqian seem so enthu about the Fac Dance, eh..., something must be wrong lehz...Anyway, after years of trying to make them do Artemis Dance as a forfeit, i decided that it will be best to change our policy and let nature take its course....hahahaz...i sounded so evil. Sianzified is so sian and shy tt he most probably wont be dancing lahz...seriously, i feel (tentative) like going back to secondary schl lehz...so shi1 pei2 le4....

Anyway, Zhaowei, can u change the background music for our blog? I tink it's a bit crap lehz...No offence, not tt i dont like the HC schl song, but the HC schl song isnt my idea of a CLASS blog song. So i suggest we put more interesting music tt reflect on our class spirit. And i dont noe how u get this song also...

....hmmm....nvm...Wanna wish Everyone a happy CNY...i will be back on CNY to wished again coz i have nth esle to do except tutorial but i "cannot" do it coz it spells trouble...anywae...i really hope we can all go for the fac dance tml...this is our first major celebration with hwachong and probably my last...so i do hope we can spend the CNY in hwachong together...

CNY!

Happy Chinese New Year everyone, hope you all have da4 feng1 shou1 this year!! Is anyone looking forward to tomorrow? Because I am. It's our first CNY together as 05S34, and so we must all try to spend the chu2 xi1 ye4 together. Okay, chu2 xi1 TIAN1 because we are only seeing each other in the day, but same difference lah. XD Also I hope to see most of S34 taking part in the fac dance even if you can't dance, okay? Doing all these small things will strengthen the bonds in our class, even if you don't think so. Just think, everyone is also sacrificing our time to stay in Hwa Chong until 12pm, and giving our secondary school a late visit. Come on, you can visit your secondary school any time you want *coughCHINESEHIGHcough* but can you celebrate CNY in Hwa Chong any time you want? No, right? So everyone should try to stay!

Yup anyway today we celebrated Xiao Ni's birthday with a LOVELY cake courtesy of Huangyu. I do not want to think about costs as of now, but I must say it was worth it. XD I love chocolate. Heehee. So HAPPY EIGHTEENTH BIRTHDAY, XIAO NI. Yay. It's going to be a long time before the next birthday, which is Lay Ning's in April if I'm not wrong. =)

Anyway, we have hung up our CNY banner on the left wing! It looks so cool because it's all gold and flashy. Wee! Haha. The most visible bits are the 05S34 and the Chinese words on top. LOL. So tomorrow morning when you guys walk by must take a good long gawk at it okay?

Bwahaha. Tonight I can slack and not do homework! Anyone doing homework shall be referred to our dear Treasurer who will then decide what to do with you. XD However I shall not be held responsible for any injuries or losses sustained by you.

Well, hope that everyone sleeps early tonight so that you all can wake up EARLYEARLY tomorrow morning to come to our beloved Hwa Chong and chuo1 tang1 yuan2!!

Activity!

Wow yay, so much activity on the blog, this must be encouraged! You all must be a bit crazy. It's Sunday morning and I haven't touched even a BIT of homework, God save my soul. And to think you guys can come up with all these funny and wacky theorems, haha. Just goes to show how FMaths-zified our class is. Except me lah, of course.

Actually I was planning to START on my partial fractions last night, but I ended up falling asleep on my table. And when I woke up, I totally couldn't feel my hands and feet. Do you know how freaky that is? And after a while when I got my circulation going, I had the most horrible case of pins-and-needles (you know, that prickly feeling you get) that it hurt to move. >< Okay, excuses, excuses. I need to start on my work today.

Oddly, I'm looking forward to next week, because it's CNY. Never looked forward to CNY before, actually, because to me it means a lot of sitting around and staring into space, getting into overheated cars with stale air to lug our carcasses around Singapore, and having to give a big fake smile to all of your relatives while trying to weasel the hong2 bao1 out of their unwilling hands. I hope this year will be different, though I know that it could be worse, seeing that all my cousins (and me) have left our childhood behind and "grown up".

Anyway, shall not bore you guys with my boring crap. XD Please go do your homework before CNY and not be like me. I'm just going to hide in a hole now and eat my tutorials.

Just to tell you guys I'm here

Taking a break from tutorials:

Theorem: 4 = 5
Proof:
-20 = -20
16 - 36 = 25 - 45
4^2 - 9*4 = 5^2 - 9*5
4^2 - 9*4 + 81/4 = 5^2 - 9*5 + 81/4
(4 - 9/2)^2 = (5 - 9/2)^2

How about this, instead of:
4 - 9/2 = 5 - 9/2
4 = 5

We have:
4-9/2 = 9/2-5
4 + 5 = 9/2 + 9/2

And for Theorem: $1 = 1 cents.
Proof:
1$ = 100cents
= (10cents)^2 |Because it's 10 cents x 10, not 10 cents x 10cents|
= ($0.1)^2 |But in this case its $0.1 x 0.1, & it should be $0.1 x 10|
= $0.01 |which makes (10cents)^2 = ($0.1)^2 false|
= 1 cents

Anyway, Trigo was hell. Took me 2+ hours to do 3 qns.

Nothing to post

Hey pple,

Seriously i have nothing to say. But i decided that it will be appropriate for me to post some nonsense...so here goes....

Sometimes i wonder how come You Jin can make it, finishing all his tutorials ahead of time and posting fmaths stuff on the blog some more. By the way, to quote Wei Jie as saying, i m like more than ONE question away from completing my tutorials. And i doubt i can ever complete my tutorials....sad case.

Anyway, i decided that pple who do tutorial in the chinese new year ought to be whacked. So besides fining all the money they collected during Chinese New Year, i will personally make them eat up their tutorials (idea courtesy of qq) that they have painstakingly done. It's double punishment now, so i hope u people dont become crazy during the Chinese New Year. Hahaz. Dont worry people, the Treasurer is just doing his job to reduce the budget deficit of our class fund. Other than You Jin, i m sure everyone agrees with me.

On this note, I will like to wish all of you a Happy Chinese New Year in advance.

yup...in less than 3 hours...i have came to crap again...

Since S34 is a F math class...i decided to post something about math...so here it goes..

Theorem: $1 = 100 cents.
Proof:
1$ = 100cents
= (10cents)^2
= ($0.1)^2
= $0.01
= 1 cents

hmmm....yah...so come and change your $1 for 1 cents with me.....=D

Oh Wait...i have another one....

Theorem: 1$ = 10 cent
Proof:
$ 1 = 100 cents
divide both sides by 100
$ 1/100 = 100/100 cents
$ 1/100 = 1 cent
take square root both side
squr($1/100) = squr (1 cent)
$ 1/10 = 1 cent
multiply both side by 10
$1 = 10 cent

Hello everyone,

Now that you jin thinks everyone miss his spamming, u all certainly miss mine too rite:P Definitely, I see everyone nodding in agreement, b'cos you all know I have more than ONE question of Fmaths left atleast, that's why I couldn't write as many entries:D

Jokes aside, due to drama feste and the level of involvement of our class, we shall postpone the movie to further notice. THis is to accomodate many who cannot not stay out late. However, for those around till 7, hopefully you can join us as a class for dinner:D If you have noticed, many many movies open on the 8th which is like the next day. Therefore, with all factors considered, it's defintely wiser to not watch it on MOnday.

THen before that, just after the GP, we'll munch cake. Gobbling and itchy creaming fingers are more than encouraged. PLease stay back to join us for the birthday session, thanks you! IF there's a need, please learn how to sing the birthday song if you have forgotten:D

Last but not least, we'll be meeting at sentosa on friday, 10am and harbour front. THIS IS PRONE TO CHANGES. PLease keep yourself updated.

Integration...

Yoz...da[4] jia[1] hao[3]....it's me again...i know you pple miss my spamming...so here i am again...hmmm....ytd din post cos very tired....so todae will post a long entry to make up for it....ok...i dunno whether i shud post this...but i just wanna post it here coz i feel tt it's real interesting and like many mths later...we can hui[2] wei[4] this event....

What do Maths Lecture and Hokkien has in common?
....The first thing most pple think of is tt there is nth common between the two...But 100 students from S3 is now able to identify something common between them...To encourage students to know more about chinese culture...Hokkien is integrated into their math lecture...The now-famous quote "Sa kor si si kor sa kiam sa kor" (means one dollar thirty cents equals to four dollars thirty cents minus three dollars in chinese)...is now used to help student to memorise their formula easier...students from 05S34 have found tt it is a rather interesting way to memorise trigonometry formula...as they keep chanting "Sa kor si si kor sa kiam sa kor" for the rest of the day...
...."I find tt it is a rather easy and fun way to remember the formula...especially since we have about (16 X 3) formula-s to rmb for trigonometry," said *** from 05S34...his classmate, ***, too find it a very gd method,"I cannot get it out of my head now."

Hey people!

After smsing Zhaowei someone invited me to the blog immediately. How strange...i wonder who's the one who sent me the invite...Wei Jie was tt you? To anyone who sent me tt invite, thanks...u sent at the time where i have the most inspiration to write...

As i have reiterated over and over again, the stayover is going to be the highlight of our class activities and it's a must have. Yeah, we dont mind sleeping in the kitchen or the toilet as long as this stayover thing can happen. And it can also take place in anybody's house, but preferably our amicable Welfare and Recreation Rep. wj house because he lives in Hougang....Hmm... a lot of attractions there....

Yeah, before this blog we already have a good mean of communication...our yahoogroup. However, to show our ever-existing class spirit we have to start our discussions all over again via the blog...so sad...Nevertheless, i thought that we are having a good start.

Regarding the debate against six-three, i thought we have done an excellent job. Well done people, especially the speakers and my dear assistant researcher, who stayed up till 2am with me. Well...i thought 2am was an understatement...but too bad. I m sure our efforts are worthwhile....we emerged as the better team, and Jierong's delivery is very professional. The ironic thing about this whole buisness is that ALL the speakers of both the Proposition and Opposition, the chairman and the timekeeper are from single-sex schools. And here we are arguing about the advantages of education. Hahhaz.

You Jin, i thought the motto thing is came up by you...our dear, hardworking chemistry rep. Too bad, myself, the Treasurer decides that he's obliged to come up with one too. So here goes : Money Sure Enough. Comeon ppl, i m sure you will have just sufficient money to pay up the class fund...and with Chinese New Year coming around the corner...hahaz, i m sure you know what i mean....
